That was actually my thinking as well. When I was a teen my parents got a new coffeemaker. It was a wee bit more complicated than the old one. My mom used to make herself a cup on instant coffee and then set about making coffee in the machine. After a month or so school started for me and I had to be out the door by 6:20 so I took pity on her and made the coffee (snagging a mugful for myself) before I took off so it was ready for her in the morning
