Whistle While You Work

Title: Whistle While You Work
Pairing/Warning/Rating: Jack/Ianto, many things usually warned for implied or a crack warning, rated R
Word Count: 100
Summary:  Ianto's life took an unexpected turn after quitting Torchwood.
Author's Note: Written for the [community profile] tw100 challenge: Life After Torchwood, but blame for it rests solely on [personal profile] mad_jaks shoulders.  Now with a prequel

Ianto whistled happily as he puttered about, preparing the morning coffee.  This wasn’t the sort of future he’d planned, but after three years he’d grown to love it.

Are you sure you want to do this?  You’ll find leaving Torchwood is easy.  Jack had told him.  It’s leaving me that’s hard.

Ianto hadn’t realized the threat, or the promise, behind those words when he’d handed in his resignation.  But the next day they’d become evident.  He’d woken up with his memories, but without his clothes.  He’d earned a collar since then, and extensions for his chains.  Life couldn’t be better.

mmmm donuts. Which image do you like best?

Oh, crap...now I have this image of Ianto in chains eating donuts. Why?!

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-06-23 06:33 pm (UTC)(link)
now, now.. that's only when he'd been good. Of course, he has to eat them when on his knees at Jack's feet, his head bowed

You're slightly evil, you know.

*uses icon again*

Jack's voice booms through the room. "So, Ianto, do you think you've earned your donut today?"

Surprised by Jack's entrance, Ianto sinks to his knees. "Oh please, Jack." He is careful to keep his gaze at the floor. "I've been very good."

Jack gently stroked Ianto's collar, letting his fingers also brush lightly against his chin. "You're always good. Aren't you, pet?"

EEEEVIL! Mostly because I know I'm going to think of this at the most inopportune time...like at work.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-06-23 07:11 pm (UTC)(link)
that's me- absolutely evil!

Ianto's chains rattled slightly as he tried not to react to the touch and the strength behind the voice. He wasn't going to embarrass himself again by getting hard only seconds after Jack got home.

I am not writing Ianto in chains though. Nope. Not doing it

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-06-24 04:20 pm (UTC)(link)
writing the occasional cracky bit is one thing, but to try even a drabble would turn out like crap

[identity profile] the-dark-side.livejournal.com 2008-06-24 04:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, I beg to differ, but, uh...OK, I got distracted at "Ianto in chains".

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-06-24 04:24 pm (UTC)(link)
well, now you know what to request if I ever do a time stamp meme again.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-06-24 04:28 pm (UTC)(link)
oh noes.... the problem is how to get the tone right for it. True slave!fics and that style of D/s squicks me and seems terribly OOC for Jack. So how to write this where Ianto is willing and Jack isn't forcing things.... *puts on thinky cap*

[identity profile] the-dark-side.livejournal.com 2008-06-24 04:32 pm (UTC)(link)
I honestly have the urge to try my hand, but I know I would inevitably end up doing so at work. I suppose I do write most of my good stuff when I suppose to be doing something else...

when I'm at work at night (the majority of people leave by 5, I'm there till 7:30) I'll often write or flit about on LJ. YEah, there's stuff I'm supposed to be doing, but *shrug* oh well

go for it.

The last couple of things I wrote I did during class...and it's not like I'm really doing much at work. Writing names on packets and putting keys in them.

A lot of my job is to be there is anything comes up- someone comes in or calls or whatever. If nothing and no one does, well, then... there is some other stuff I can do, but not a lot

[identity profile] the-dark-side.livejournal.com 2008-06-24 04:59 pm (UTC)(link)
That's most of my job, too, plus the pre-conferencing thing. You learn quickly how to keep yourself sane.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-06-24 05:03 pm (UTC)(link)
I sometimes think that boat has sailed for me

[identity profile] the-dark-side.livejournal.com 2008-06-24 05:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, well, I guess it's more like maintaining what bit of sanity is left at this point.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-06-24 05:12 pm (UTC)(link)
maintaining *nods* probably a good idea

[identity profile] the-dark-side.livejournal.com 2008-06-24 08:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Although, insanity is far more interesting. I know this because people tell me. Apparently I'm amusing to be around...

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-06-24 08:41 pm (UTC)(link)
hmmm, that's what people have said to me too. So sane=boring?
