out of 22 hours of primetime programming NBC now airs 7 hours of scripted shows. SEVEN. That's less than the WB which only has 10 hours of primetime programming to start with
Saving money should never be ALL that you are aiming for. Because when you boil it all down you still need to be able to sell ad time. And if you can't it doesn't matter how little you spend to produce your shows because you won't be able to bring in enough to break even.
