I'm sad to see Merlin end, although not overly broken by the way it ended, I rather expected it.
Also expected were the massive plot holes, but as the show wasn't wrecked by them, I've taken to think of them as hippos in tutus, enjoyable as they danced by but they did leave confusion and facepalming in their wake.
Overall, it remained a good show with decent canon, wonderful eyecandy (oh KNIGHTS, especially the sleeveless wonder), and lots of room to play in various sandboxes for further writing.
Doctor Who's holiday offering was fine; teenaged son liked it more than I but I did find it utterly watchable at least. I do question the overall arc of the upcoming season as I don't have a lot of trust in Moffatt, but that's neither here nor there.
