Exchanges and Crafting and Babble, Oh My!

hurtcomfortex ('a pairing and freeform matching multifandom gift exchange') is running again this year and nominations are now open!

I'm actually debating signing up for both that AND genfreeformexchange (which is currently in noms and is 'a multi-fandom exchange focused on gen fanworks, with freeform tag matching so that you can request and offer all your favorite gen tropes') this year despite them running during the same period. I've almost never tried to do two exchanges at the same time other than picking up a PH here and there.

Well, I'm nomming for both anyway, we'll see about signing up when that happens. My writing brain's been on vacay lately. I managed 3 chocolatebox treats, but that's down a LOT from last year.

I've been crocheting a lot, I used up nearly all my stash of rug yarn (plus some other random wool yarn) for two small rugs, one about 26"x28" and the other 18"x20"

After completely messing up a string/market bag I did one that worked nicely, although came out smaller than I expected it to.

I'm still slowly plugging away on my denim braided rag rug too. Oh, and I did a small braided rug for the dog's water dish out of old plastic bags (which went together really easily and quickly, which was nice and I love the upcycling/reuse idea) and now she makes much less a mess when drinking.

Today is supposed to be a lot warmer than yesterday which is good since yesterday's low with windchill was -37 (F, not C, but still. BRRRRR)
