Whoops there went July

Due to Battleship plus real life chaos combining I haven't posted for a while. I did 16 works for Battleship (13 fics and 3 art, I did try recording podfic but couldn't manage to make it work to my satisfaction) and got some lovely gifts, including several podfics of old works, I will link to everything when I can include authors.

Battleship this year was... an experience. My team (Mermaids) was in last place throughout the entire thing and after officially losing, it came out that a lot of the points we'd gotten on 2 of the boards weren't truly earned (long story I do not have the energy to go into) which meant we probably should have been still finishing the third board when the winning team completed the fifth. It's not remotely the mods fault, but wow the teams were depressingly uneven this year and the whole thing really doubles down on short form or slow creators feeling like they can't contribute much (aka me and how I can fandom). I have no idea how people manage to write long in the first place but to write multiple 10k+ things a week? o.O

I haven't been baking (far too hot) but did do both a rug (using up several of the recently yarned tshirts) a quick crochet project (a draft dodger) and watched more of The Spirealm while making them. (And now am stuck because I don't have another project in the wings and just am awful at watching stuff without one, even thought I only have 2 episodes to go to finish it who knows how long that will take).
